the rested & connected effect

The Outcome is Simple

Change how your baby learns to sleep at bedtime, nighttime, and naptime, and you’ll naturally gain more time and energy for yourself, your spouse, and your child.

AKA – get wayyy more sleep and a baby who loves to sleep too.

I'm here to add extra hours to your nights (depending on what you currently get) and provide everything you need to make that happen... without leaving your child to cry it out.

We'll identify specific changes needed at bedtime, nighttime, and naptime—everything that impacts your child’s understanding of sleep.

  • How to support your child through these changes

  • When to feed, sleep, and wake your baby

  • How to ensure your child’s sleep skills grow with them over time

the first problem: Your baby is used to being put to sleep by a parent—it’s what they know, but not necessarily what they want.

Babies outgrow being put to sleep and want to learn to sleep for themselves, but they don’t know how.

This is where we come in.

We need to move away from how you think your baby wants to be put down. Many parents believe their baby still wants to be rocked, fed, and held to sleep, but that’s not what they truly want.

If sleep isn’t easy and enjoyable day and night, your child is ready to learn to sleep for themselves.

For the record, sleeping for themselves doesn’t mean learning by themselves. With my method, your presence, patience, and support are the most important elements.

We'll start by determining your baby’s needs and your family’s preferences. Your goals will dictate our next steps, and we’ll avoid critical errors along the way.

Next, we'll simplify sleep for your child by ensuring you have a clear communication strategy. Great connection means responding to your baby in ways that help them learn to sleep—not just doing whatever puts them to sleep ASAP. We want them to fall asleep and stay asleep.

The Result?

You’ll have a baby who falls asleep happily in their own bed and enjoys long stretches of sleep day and night. You’ll have a “good sleeper,” and it won’t just be luck.

A good sleeper learns to fall asleep and return to sleep on their own. Like riding a bike, it’s not something we forget once we’ve learned.

The Second Problem: Finding the Right Schedule

It’s simple: we’ll follow your child’s ideal schedule. It’s more difficult for your baby to sleep if they’re overtired, under-tired, too hungry, or too full. I’ll guide you through setting up a simple daily pattern to ensure your child is perfectly tired at sleep times, well-rested at playtimes, and always well-fed.

First, you'll want to know how long your baby needs to be awake—this varies for each child. We call this your child’s IAAT (Ideal Average Awake Time). It’s individual and a moving target, but once you sync up with your child’s needs, you can expect a lot more flexibility. No strict schedules here!

We’ll ensure your child sleeps just the right amount during the day to promote excellent sleep at night. Naps are essential for building a strong sleep foundation and will protect nighttime sleep, giving you reliable breaks every day.

With these timing systems in place, each time you put your baby down will get easier, meaning your sleep will improve, allowing you to be present and enjoy parenthood fully.

The Third Problem: Maintaining Good Sleep Over Time

I say this with love—it's up to us as parents to maintain good sleep once we achieve it. Our children are always growing, changing, and learning. To ensure they sleep at night and nap in their beds, we must show them this is the norm in our family.

Showing your child what you want them to do is an art—an art that will make or break your sleep as a parent.

Most methods help your child learn to sleep but leave you on your own. However, we know childhood brings inevitable challenges (teething, travel, illness, childcare changes, etc.), so our sleep approach will have built-in contingency plans.

To fix this:

We’ll establish a flexible, adaptable skill set and schedule for your child so you can adjust as circumstances require.

We will also help you hone your parenting instincts, enabling you to read your child better, anticipate hiccups before they happen, and make changes on the fly. Essentially, you will become your child’s in-house sleep expert.

The End Result?

Your child will take the sleep they need, day and night. You’ll be able to put your child down in their bed (or a pack n play or travel crib when you’re away) and walk out while they fall asleep easily on their own.

You’ll get to watch a movie with your partner, enjoy uninterrupted sleep, and get things done during naps, all while feeling confident that your child will get the rest they need now and for years to come.

I’m ready to get started right away, inviting you to believe in your child’s ability to learn. All we have to do is guide them. I’ll show you how.

Here’s How Everything Will Work

Once you join, you'll get immediate access to the Online Member’s Area, where you can access the strategies and frameworks we’ll be working through.

You’ll begin with a brief intake process: join our private community, download your Sleep Stats worksheet, your child’s sleep plan, and make a copy of our Sleep Tracker template.

We’ll then schedule our Prep Call to go over everything before you start implementing anything, ensuring you have complete clarity.

Once you begin, you’ll have unlimited communication with me to address whatever is most relevant to you.

To connect, we can:

  • Post in the private community 7 days a week

  • Chat in our Sleep Tracker 7 days a week

  • Speak one-on-one on up to 4 calls a week

You'll have access to ongoing calls (and the program) for as long as you’re a member of The Rested & Connected Effect (minimum one-month commitment).

There's also The Rested & Connected Parents Community, where you can ask me questions, share your wins, and connect with like-minded parents facing similar challenges.

The more you implement, the more progress we’ll make together.

Your sleep will be completely different 2, 4, and 12 weeks from now.

My goal is to show you how much your child can learn and what an awesome sleeper they can be with just a few tiny tweaks and a whole lotta love. This will help you continue to level up your parenting as your child grows.

It’s common to see significant improvement in the first few days of the program. By the end of the first 4 weeks, everyone will be sleeping better.

You don’t need to set aside a lot of extra time to do this work together. You’re already doing the work; we’re just going to do it better. I’ll eliminate the trial and error and provide clear guidance every step of the way.

The approach will be simple enough for your nanny (or even grandma) to follow.
